Emerging Twitch rival Kick is firing shots at the purple platform for banning two of its top streamers, Amouranth and BruceDropEmOff.
As many streamers continue applauding its lax policies and regulations, Kick is leaving no stone unturned in its quest to divert attention from Twitch.
By teasing lucrative partner contracts, and having its poster child Adin Ross spread the word, Kick has successfully grabbed the attention of several big name streamers, including Asmongold and xQc, among others.
Up until now, Kick has only made subtle jabs at Twitch, such as gifting top streamer Kai Cenat custom OffWhite Air Force trainers, but it’s now opting for a more aggressive approach.
The green platform wasted no time mocking Twitch on Twitter for its handling of popular creators, following the recent bans of Amouranth and BruceDropEmOff.
‘They’re doing our job for us,’ Kick tweeted shortly after Amouranth’s recent ban was confirmed.
The platform also attached a video of Amouranth discussing a possible move to Kick, in which she admits she would give it a go for ‘a certain amount of money’ but wouldn’t go exclusive.
Moreover, she expressed concern that her presence on a rival platform like Kick could lead to Twitch banning her channel for good.
However, amidst her recent unexplained one-day ban on Twitch, Amouranth may be less hesitant about switching to a rival platform, after all.
Kick’s Twitter video then transitions to BruceDropEmOff, telling Kai Cenat he is ‘on Twitch for life’ and that the platform treats him ‘f*****g amazing’ while crossing his fingers in front of the camera, to imply he’s lying.
Screenshots of both streamers’ banned Twitch accounts also appeared in the video, with Kick adding more salt to the wound.
Although neither Amouranth nor BruceDropEmOff have joined Kick yet, the latter streamer has since confirmed that he knows ‘what’s next,’ suggesting that a switch could be in the works.
