Frequently Asked Questions
Q1). What happened to property bee?
Property Bee is no longer available and it stopped as a browser extension a number of years ago. However, several new tools like Property Log, Property Picker, and PaTMa now offer similar and enhanced functionality for tracking property prices.
Q2). Which property tools work with Rightmove?
All of the property tools in this list overlay with the browser extension on to Rightmove. As this is the number one property search portal in the UK, most developers build functionality to primarily work with Rightmove. However some tools also work with Zoopla and On The Market.
Q3). Are these property tools and browser extensions free to use?
Most tools offer free versions with basic functionality. Property Log and Property Picker are completely free, while PaTMa requires a free account. PropBar offers limited free searches monthly, with a paid version for more extensive use. Property Market Intel offers both free and premium features.
Q4). Do these tools work on browers other than chrome?
Currently, these tools are primarily designed for Google Chrome. While some might work on other Chromium-based browsers like Edge, we recommend using Chrome for the best experience and full functionality. For very active property investors and buy-to-let landlords building extensive portfolios you may prefer to get property data via api’s and there are a few companies that focus on this service that we also cover in our property data guide.
Q5). How accurate is the property data from these tools?
The tools source their data directly from property listings and official sources like HM Land Registry for sold house price data, OS data hub for mapping and Office of National Statistics for demographics. But we would recommend checking with the specific tool provider on their current datasets as these can change.
