Footage captures the moment the fire service stormed onto the runway at a busy UK airport on Sunday.
Video captured by a passenger who had just landed back in Britain showed the fire engine parked on the runway – leaving their flight stranded on the tarmac.
Commenting on X, formerly Twitter, Bradley Murby said: “Fire engines turning up to LBA can't even get in the country as stuck on the tarmac.”
The footage was shared at around 3.30pm, with another X user claiming the airport was being evacuated at around the same time.
The live departure boards for the airport show aircraft are landing and departing from Leeds-Bradford Airport.
Many departures appear to have been delayed however.
A Jet2 flight from the airport to Tenerife South which was due to depart at 4.30pm did not take off until 6.50pm.
Another Jet2 flight, this time to Alicante, was scheduled to take off at 5.55pm.
However it seems this flight did not become airborne until 7.21pm.
Other flights have also faced delays, although the times between scheduled departures and actual departures have improved.
It is unclear if these delays are related to the earlier incident.
The Express has contacted Leeds-Bradford Airport and West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service for comment.
Leeds Bradford is the busiest airport in Yorkshire and sees millions of passengers a year.
