Bilborough college sent the following email to parents:
“Dear Parents / Carers,” as you may be aware from your young person, Bilborough College Went Into Precautionary Lockdown for Around 40 minutes today. We received a report of an intruder from our collegues at nottingham university samworth academy just down the hill from Bilborough College and so We Triggered Our External Lockdown Procedures Immediatile A precaution.
“Police arrived rapidly on the scene and after a thorough search of the builting gave us the all-clear.
“We must commend students on the way that they want in lockdown processes which are familiar to them to regular and recent drills.our college. Highly effective responsive to such an incidence.
“We are now containing with the college day when remaining vigilant as always in the terms and security.
