Ian Blackford looked uncomfortable as he faced a jibe from his replacement during Prime Minister Question’s today a week after he was ousted from his position in the SNP.
Nicola Sturgeon had faced a “personal humiliation” last week as rebel Nationalist MP Stephen Flynn was voted in as the new leader of the House of Commons to replace Mr Blackford.
Mr Flynn took Mr Blackford’s place during Prime Minister’s Questions, referring to Mr Blackford as a “giant of Scottish Independence,” a comment which earned a smattering of laughs from across the Commons.
Mr Blackford chuckled uncomfortably following the remark from the new Westminster leader, who represents a desire within Scottish MPs to move away from Ms Sturgeon’s leadership.
