A 15-year-old pupil at an Edinburgh school tragically died on Tuesday afternoon, Scottish police revealed. The teen, who attended Forrester High School in Edinburgh, reportedly collapsed on a football pitch, prompting emergency services to scramble to get to the school.
Emergency crews arrived at the school on Broomhouse Road at around 3pm on Tuesday afternoon.
However, despite the paramedic’s best efforts, the teen passed away following the incident, it has been reported.
Police reportedly remained on the scene for hours after the tragedy.

Authorities have stated that they do not believe the death occurred under suspicious circumstances.
Speaking to Edinburgh Live, a Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed the death.
They said: “On Tuesday, March 14, police were called to a report of a 15-year-old boy having collapsed on Broomhouse Road.
“There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
Members of the public have been rattled with the shocking death and have been invited to a local church for a period of reflection following the teen’s death.
A short post from St David’s Broomhouse Parish Church read: “Following the difficult circumstances earlier today, the church will be open tonight, 8pm-9pm for quiet reflection and the opportunity to light a candle. All are welcome.”
