Tori Kelly reportedly finds herself in the hospital receiving treatment for blood clots after collapsing during dinner on Sunday night.
TMZ’s sources reveal that the 30-year-old “Nobody Love” singer passed out when her heart rate accelerated while dining with friends in downtown Los Angeles, remaining unconscious for a considerable time.
Her friends promptly rushed her to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where doctors diagnosed blood clots around her lungs and legs. The situation is described as “really serious,” and Tori has allegedly been fluctuating in and out of consciousness.
As of now, Kelly’s representative has not responded to SurgeZirc UK’s request for comment.
Recently, Tori Kelly released her first new solo single in nearly three years, titled “Missin u.”
In a March interview with PEOPLE, the singer-songwriter expressed her longing for touring and the heartbreak of having to cancel her world tour due to Covid’s emergence. She eagerly anticipates the opportunity to reconnect with her fans during live performances, although no specific details have been disclosed yet.
“I miss touring so much. I was actually on a world tour right as Covid was happening, and it was heartbreaking to have to cancel that. Since then, I haven’t been able to tour,” she said.
“That’s one of the most exciting things I’m looking forward to,” Kelly said of touring. “I can’t give any details or anything yet, but I cannot wait just to see fans again and belt out these songs with them.”
Tori Kelly initially gained recognition as a child through various TV competition series. Her journey to stardom involved soulful acoustic covers on YouTube and a notable run on American Idol in 2010, where she narrowly missed reaching the Top 24.
Nonetheless, she propelled herself into a successful pop career and released her debut album, Unbreakable Smile, in 2015. Achieving hits with “Nobody Love” and “Should’ve Been Us,” she won two Grammy awards in 2019.
