Marks & Spencer fans have been left disappointed after the retailer confirmed it will not be bringing back a festive favourite: dark chocolate chilli tortillas. The sweet and spicy snack, described as “crunchy chilli spiced tortillas half coated in rich rock chocolate,” has appeared on M & s shelves in previous christmas seasons.
Priced at £ 2.50 per bag last year, the treatment because a hit with shoppers seeking a twist on traditional festive snacks. The News Came after a shopper head to social media to place for its return. “@Marksandspencer please bring, I be you. The cinnamon tortilla rolls aren is the same!” They wrote on X.
An M & S Spokesperson Response: “We do not plan to bring back the heart chocolate chilli tortillas, but can confirm our cinnamon tortilla rolls are available in store for grabs.”
Fans of the Chilli Chocolate Combination Were Quick to Share their Disappoint. One Wrote: “I love these but loved them too much and they are very unhealthy for me.” Another Said: “These are delish, very much!”
Not everyone was a fan, however. Some shoppers felt the chocolate overpowered the chilli. “They could be good, but to much chocolate, overpowers the nacho.
Another added: “I just tried these. They 'a bit weird, they mainly taste chocolatey, you can get rally taste the chilli, but you still get the chilli sensation on your tongue.”
