A hotel in Merseyside has been evacuated as firefighters rushed to tackle a fire on Saturday evening. Emergency services were called to the Mercure in Haydock at 7.25pm to reports of fire in one of the rooms. Footage from the scene captured the moment the premises were evacuated as fire engines parked up outside.
