Lead investor River Capital joined by EHE at tech firm that aims to grow globally from Merseyside
A Liverpool AI tech firm that has worked with giants such as KPMG and PWC has secured investment from EHE Ventures as part of a funding round worth up to £1m.
Manchester’s EHE Ventures has teamed up with lead investor River Capital in an EIS Enterprise Investment Scheme) round to help Deltabase to scale up its AI-powered platform.
Deltabase was founded in 2019 by former Accenture, PwC, and Microsoft executives Phil Spratt, now its CEO, Alastair Whiteley, and David Rowe. It has developed AI-powered software tools for consulting, HR and transformation teams to help businesses understand their rivals and competitors
The business says its products help clients to “quantify ‘people factors’ that traditional analysis overlooks”. It has worked with professional services giants PwC, and KPMG, as well as with consulting group Mercer.
Deltabase will use the latest funding round to grow its data science and engineering teams and for product development. EHE will provide hands-on support through its Venture Studio.
Phil Spratt, CEO of Deltabase, said: “For years, companies have had access to every possible metric about their competitors – except the ones that matter most. Financials and customer metrics are easy to map, but understanding how organisations lead, retain, and inspire people has always been the missing piece. Deltabase fills that gap.
“We give decision-makers actionable, data-backed evidence of how teams operate, so they can move faster and with more confidence. When you bring clarity to culture, you change how strategy gets delivered.”
Neil Vose, CEO of EHE Venture Studio, added: “Deltabase is putting people intelligence where it belongs: at the centre of strategic decision-making. It’s already embedded in top consulting workflows, and our studio will help the team scale that capability globally from right here in the North of England.”
Deltabase announced this year that it was moving its HQ to Liverpool. Mr Spratt, a University of Liverpool graduate, said: “Liverpool gave me the foundation for my career, and I’m proud to bring Deltabase’s headquarters here as we scale.
“We’re building a world-class business in AI-powered intelligence, already supporting clients across Europe and North America — and Liverpool will be at the heart of our continued growth.” He added: “Liverpool has the talent, ambition, and community to foster the next generation of globally ambitious tech businesses.”
