A Cheshire-based company backed by an investor in the maker of Fortnite has acquired a cyber security firm in Lancashire.
The Citation Group has snapped up Mitigate Cyber for an undisclosed sum.
The buyer is a provider of compliance and quality management products and services to small and medium-sized businesses.
It has been backed by Hg Capital since it a £185m deal was completed in 2016 as well as KKR whose portfolio includes the likes of Epic Games and Wella.
KKR is also helping to fund the St Michael’s scheme in Manchester city centre for Gary Neville’s Relentless Group.
Lancaster University-based Mitigate Cyber offers a range of cyber security services from threat mitigation to testing, certification and training, designed to help businesses tackle cyber risks and data breaches.
