CONOR McGREGOR is back in training with his eyes set on the UFC’s historic White House card.
The controversial Irishman has been out of action since July 2021 – when he brutally broke his leg against Dustin Poirier.

But after a period of uncertainty, McGregor is back in the UFC’s drug-testing pool and training for a return fight.
The former two-weight double champion posted a series of videos on social media hitting pads in a gym.
McGregor, 37, can be seen working on his uppercuts, jab and famous left hand, telling fans: “The Champ Champ returns!
“Just over 8 months to UFC White House. I look forward to seeing my body shape up. My shot selection refining.
“My masterpiece to be painted.”
In July, US President Donald Trump first announced plans to host UFC fights on the lawn of the Oval Office.
And UFC boss Dana White has been in talks to make the dream event into a reality to mark the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
Only 5,000 spectators are expected to be in attendance amid strict safety protocols.

McGregor is a frontrunner to fight on the card with White in talks to bring the superstar back to the octagon.
He said: “We’ll build the greatest card of all time. Conor and I have been talking consistently, he wants this fight bad and when you get to a level that Conor is at you have to find things that motivate you, and the White House card has definitely motivated Conor McGregor.”
McGregor was due to return in June 2023 against Michael Chandler – before a toe injury forced him out.
So he wants to settle the score with the American, 39, on the biggest UFC stage of all time.
McGegor told Fox News: “Michael Chandler and myself. We’ve done The Ultimate Fighter. We’ve had a good back and forth. He’s a good, tough guy.”
Chandler has fought twice since his cancelled bout with McGregor, losing to Charles Oliveira, 35, and Paddy Pimblett, 30.
McGregor, meanwhile, has been marred in controversy while sidelined from UFC action.
Last December, he was found liable for assault in a civil case against him dating back to 2018.
The court heard how McGregor was said to have “brutally raped and battered” Nikita Hand in a penthouse at the Beacon Hotel.

McGregor was ordered to pay Ms Hand £206,000 in damages and pay her legal costs – since losing an appeal to the verdict.
He even suggested he could RETIRE during a Bare Knuckle Press Conference in March – before quickly backtracking on the claim.
McGregor returning to the UFC’s drug-testing pool in August was the biggest indicator he is preparing to return.
UFC stars are permitted to return six months of clean doping tests before being eligible to fight again.
McGregor also posted on X: “I have so much aggression built up that I must release.
“I will throw harder and more venomous than I have ever thrown before.
“I have been punching way incredibly harder in my most recent preparative efforts and I delight in the thought of doing it live again.
“My shots whistle through the air like rockets! It’s why, and how, I hold every fiscal record in the entire book of fighting. See you soon, kids!”
