The former footballer took to social media to share an update with her fans after making it through Blackpool week on Strictly Come Dancing.
Karen Carney has left Strictly Come Dancing fans on edge as she posted an update with George Clarke ahead of their next appearance in the ballroom.
The ex-footballer and YouTube sensation were seen progressing to week ten of the BBC One dance competition, following a surprising twist in this year’s Blackpool special where no one was sent home.
Karen and George, along with their professional dance partners Carlos Gu and Alexis Warr, were gearing up to perform in the renowned Tower Ballroom on Saturday night (22 November), against fellow contestants Amber Davies and Nikita Kuzmin, Alex Kingston and Johannes Radebe, Lewis Cope and Katya Jones, and Balvinder Sopal and Julian Caillon.
However, before the couples could start their performance, they received some significant news. They were informed that there would be no elimination after La Voix had to withdraw from the BBC One dance competition, having initially been given a pass to the next round of the contest following her injury announcement last week.

This arrangement allowed the six surviving couples to showcase their talents in Blackpool free from elimination anxiety, though their judges’ marks and public backing would carry forward to week ten’s showdown this Saturday evening (November 29).
Karen and Carlos delivered a stunning performance, earning an impressive 39 points for their passionate paso doble set to O Fortuna from Carmina Burana, reports Manchester Evening News.
Meanwhile, George and Alexis, who concluded the Blackpool extravaganza with their energetic salsa to Bob Sinclar’s Rock This Party (Everybody Dance Now) were also given a total score of 39.
Despite both being saved another week, the duo have expressed concerns about a forthcoming twist in the competition. This series, the surviving participants must tackle the ‘Instant Dance’ challenge.
After randomly selecting their routines from previously mastered dances, with outcomes kept confidential in sealed envelopes, contestants will only discover their fate during the live broadcast, before hearing their chosen soundtrack and having merely 10 seconds to determine their performance approach.
Karen shared a cheerful photo of herself and George on Instagram, along with an image of them looking slightly apprehensive about the challenges ahead.
She captioned it: “When you’re through another week [smiley face emoji]. Then remember you have the instant dance challenge to do as well as learn another dance [flushed face and crying laughing emojis].”
It wasn’t long before people commented on their snap, with many highlighted their concern. One person said: “It’s going to be chaos [crying laughing emojis]. Praying you get the jive, it was that good one isn’t enough!!”
Someone else commented: “I like you and George’s ideas of just showing off your partners and clapping for them.”
Another person wrote: “So ready for the chaos it will bring.”
One follower responded: “I am actually terrified for you. It’s gonna be absolute chaos but I am here for it.” While another added: “Don’t worry you can do it we have faith in you.”
Strictly Come Dancing is available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
