Claudia Winkleman may have crowned this year’s Celebrity Traitors winners but fans can’t stop thinking about a clip of the legendary host from 10 years ago as she looks completely different

It feels like Traitors legend Claudia Winkleman wouldn’t be who she is without her iconic fringe, fake tan, and hair that many people would beg for. But it turns out that once upon a time, she used to rock a totally different look, and her skin was a lot paler.
Her Highland Gothic wardrobe she’s well-known for now just didn’t used to be a thing, as she opted for much plainer clothes, but it’s safe to say she was beautiful then, and she’s beautiful now. In the recently unearthed footage, fans admitted they barely recognised her at all, given that she was without her iconic haircut, smoky eyeliner and signature tan.

During an appearance on 8 Out Of 10 Cats some years ago, she looked like an entirely different person, with some viewers even drawing comparisons to Anne Hathaway, owing to her different hairstyle and notably paler complexion.
In the 2016 clip, she openly admitted on air that her home lacked heating – though rather than being without it altogether, she confessed she was simply unable to work out how to operate it, as she couldn’t determine which buttons did what.
Her admission did not go unnoticed, with the late Sean Lock promptly calling her out over it.
“How do you know that?!” she laughed, as she grabbed onto Sean’s arm.
What did people say about the clip?
In the comments, one viewer wrote: “When a fringe didn’t rule her career,” given that most people would be stunned to see Claudia without her iconic hairstyle today.
Another added: “Love Claudia, she’s so special. I wish her hands were the same colour as her face, though what’s going on there?”
A third remarked: “I love Claudia, she’d be an absolute riot to hang out with.”
“OMG! Is that Claudia? A lot less orange back then,” a fourth observed, though Claudia has openly joked that she’s “addicted” to fake tan and has no intention of abandoning her signature look.
Indeed, during production of The Traitors, when she ran out of her usual tan while stationed at the remote castle, she famously turned to gravy granules as a substitute – now that’s commitment!
She was certainly not resorting to such measures during her 8 Out Of 10 Cats days, when her skin was porcelain.
A fifth quipped: “Oh my gosh, she’s got eyebrows,” as they are rarely visible beneath her characteristically thick fringe.
